12 angry men (1957 ) is an American drama film Directed by Sidney Lumet .
Even though this movie is known as a drama . I would rather say it as a Thriller because this movie will give u an Edge of seat experience !!
The story of this movie is simple .
12 jury members of a Court house have to clarify an accused is guilty or not ! And every one of the jury member should say yes or no ! And the final decision will only take if all the members had taken the same decision that is Guilty or Not Guilty !!
What if 11 members of the jury says it as Guilty and only one who is fixed to his decision as Not guilty !! What happens when he try to prove his decision !! That’s the Crux of this film.
This film is pretty Slow at the start ! with usual dramatic feel in it , But when the movie gains it momentum THIS will not make your eyes out from the screen !!
The back born of this movie is the script itself !! A 1 hr 30 + minutes in a single room ! what we can expect , dialogues it is ! no much of actions , emotion but Still will not make us bored even for a sec !!That’s the success of the script writer.. HE JUST NAILED IT .
Direction is also very good ! keeping us engaged , director had succeeded in it !
Acting – Wow just a few characters ! But all are one by one giving top notch performances ! dialogue delivery of every one is as perfect as it can !!!
Cinematography is also brilliant ! just a room to shoot ! but he had given great scenes for us !!
For me there no much negatives in this movie !!
Overall : One of the best thrillers which will make your mind go out after watching this masterpiece !! Highly Recommended !
